Biography
Ms. Parker graduated from Lexington
High School in 1979. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
from the University of South Carolina in Political Science.
She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University
of South Carolina in 1989.
Ms. Parker has lived in Lexington
her entire life and has practiced law at her family law
firm since 1989. Her father, Albert
J. Dooley, Sr., began practicing law in Lexington in 1954
and she continues in that tradition at the same location
that her father practiced.
Ms. Parker is a member of the
Lexington County Bar Association and a member of its Executive
Board as co-chairman of the Property Law Section. She
is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association. She
has served as an adjunct professor at Midlands Technical
College where she taught various courses for the Paralegal
degree.
Early in her career, Ms. Parker
devoted a great amount of time representing the interests
of children in private and DSS cases. She continues to
serve in the capacity of Guardian ad litem for many DSS
cases in the County of Lexington.
The majority of her practice is devoted to real estate including but not limited to residential and commercial loan closings. Many of her current clients are
builders and developers in the Lexington County area. She
has assisted numerous developers in obtaining the appropriate
county approvals necessary for the approval of their subdivisions,
including but not limited to the preparation of restrictive
covenants, the formation of homeowners associations, obtaining
zoning and subdivision approval from the planning and development
department.
Ms. Parker has been married to
Mike Parker since 1982 and they have two (2) daughters,
Jessica and Erica. Like other members of the Dooley family,
Ms. Parker is a firm believer in service to her community
and church. Along with her family she attends St. David
Lutheran Church, where she has served as Sunday School
teacher and as a member of the Church Council for many
years. She is currently a member of the Advisory Board
for Security Federal Bank. She also currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Will Lou Gray Opportunity School.
Ms. Parker is proud to be a member
