Biography
Mr. Hipp joined the Dooley Law
Firm in May, 1996. Prior to his association with the law
firm he was a trust banker with The Lexington State Bank
and BB&T of South Carolina. He served as the South Carolina Trust Division Manager for
both banks and his duties included trust and estate administration,
investment management, retirement plan administration and
estate planning.
Mr. Hipp received his Juris Doctor
from the University of South Carolina and was admitted
to the South Carolina Bar in 1977. While he was at the
University he also received a Bachelor of Science degree
in Finance and an M.B.A. In addition Mr. Hipp is a 1985
honor graduate of the American Bar Association National
Graduate Trust School held at Northwestern University in
Evanston, Illinois.
Mr. Hipp is a member of the South
Carolina Bar and the Lexington County Bar. He is a member
of the Probate Section of the South Carolina Bar and has
served on the Executive Committee of the Lexington Bar.
He is a past Chairman of the Trust Committee of the South
Carolina Bankers Association and has been a member of the
Columbia Estate Planning Council since 1980.
Mr. Hipp has been a part of the
Lexington community since 1977 when he established his
residence here. He has been very active in various community
and civic organizations through the years. He has served
on the Board of Directors for the Lexington Chamber of
Commerce and continues to serve on the Board for the Nancy
K. Perry Children’s Shelter.
